अयनेषु च सर्वेषु यथाभागमवस्थिताः । भीष्ममेवाभिरक्षन्तु भवन्तः सर्व एव हि ॥

Translation

Therefore in the rank and file let all, standing firmly in their respective divisions, guard Bhîshma, even all ye generals.

Explanation

Duryodhana’s speech closes with a direct order: every division is to hold its position and, above all, protect Bhîshma. It’s a practical instruction growing straight out of the anxiety voiced in verse 10 — if the army’s sufficiency is in doubt, its commander becomes the one thing that cannot be lost.
