na māṃ karmāṇi limpanti na me karma-phale spṛhā iti māṃ yo 'bhijānāti karmabhir na sa baddhyate

Translation

Nor do actions affect Me, nor is the fruit of action desired by Me. He who thus knoweth Me is not bound by actions.

Explanation

Krishna extends verse 13’s claim of actionless authorship into a general principle: actions don’t cling to him and he has no craving for their fruit, so anyone who truly understands this about him isn’t bound by action either. This is karma yoga’s core claim from 2.47 restated at the level of Krishna’s own nature — non-attachment isn’t just good psychological practice, it’s how the ultimate agent already operates.
