सर्वभूतस्थितं यो मां भजत्येकत्वमास्थितः । सर्वथा वर्त्तमानोऽपि स योगी मयि वर्तते ॥

sarvabhūtasthitaṃ yo māṃ bhajaty ekatvam āsthitaḥ sarvathā vartamāno'pi sa yogī mayi vartate

Translation

He who, established in unity, worshippeth Me abiding in all beings, that Yogi liveth in Me, whatever his mode of living.

Annie Besant · The Bhagavad-Gita, translated by Annie Besant (4th ed., 1922) — Wikisource · Public Domain

Explanation

This makes an important allowance the ascetic-sounding instructions of verses 10–17 might seem to rule out: external circumstances of living — “however he may be living” — don’t disqualify someone who worships from that unified vision. The inner state, not the outer form of life, is what the text is tracking.
